{Amazing Apps} Google Voice

Filed Under Amazing Apps | Leave a Comment

Google has done it again. The much awaited Google Voice  service is almost here.

Google Voice assigns users a new, single phone number, that rings all of your phones at once. A few of the features offered are, voicemail storage and computerized transcription, SMS messages through the site, call routing, call forwarding, call blocking, conference calling, call record, and a voice-message-text feature. You can even listen in on a call before accepting it. How sweet is that!!

This free service will allow you to run your business more efficiently, and be accessible ANYWHERE. Therefore managing your wedding business, at least by phone, will be much easier. The drawbacks are, contacts will now need to use a new phone number, and you’ll need to throw out the old business cards for new ones. Sorry!

Although Google has not released this service to the public yet, it is expected to launch in upcoming weeks. I’ve requested a special invite to test the app. I’ll keep you posted on what I think.

Add Video to Twitter with Bubbletweet

picture 1 Add Video to Twitter with BubbletweetHey Tweeps!! Check out this cool app for Twitter called BubbleTweet. With BubbleTweet, you can add video to your Twitter profile page. Share your wedding wisdoms, or introduce yourself as a new bride making Twitter connections. It’s so cool!! Start by adding your Twitter name. Then add your video recorded directly from your webcam, or upload a pre-recorded video. Next, choose your preference for adding your Bubbletweet to your profile page. That’s it, pretty simple. I chose to record my Bubbletweet with my Flip MinoHD Cam. After 20 takes (I had a little fun with it), here’s my first Bubbletweet. Here’s a snapshot of what it looks like on my Twitter page.

Take a look at my BubbleTweet here on my Twitter profile. I want to see your BubbleTweet. Leave us your link in a comment, and send me a tweet to let me know what you think.

{Technista Talk} Saturday Night Live

With video being so popular these days, YouTube, video blogs, etc. Why not use video to improve your business. Video Testimonials are a great way to get instant feedback from your clients to add to your portfolio. At the end of every event, we pull out our Video Cam, just before the bride and groom are whisked away into marital bliss. We get a great clip of how happy they were on their wedding day, how much they appreciate our services, and how they couldn’t have done it without us. All while they’re still in their beautiful wedding gown and tux. It’s much better than a written testimonial, and you can add the videos to your website or blog. When a new potential clients asks for references, send over a quick video clip of a bride and groom singing your praises. Believe me, it works!!

punchclock {Amazing Apps} Where Did the Time Go?PunchClock iPhone App

By the end of the day, when I’ve had client meetings, returning phone calls, checking email, blogging, reading, kids car pool, and more, I wonder, where did the day go? With the PunchClock iPhone App, you can track how you spend your time. This app is great if you bill by the hour, or just to manage your time more efficiently. Export  filtered reports in HTML and CVS file, and email them too. With this app, I have totally scrapped my timesheets, and can now manage my time and see what I’m really worth.  ($2.99 in iTunes; return7, LLC.)
